When someone confuses or hurts us, we want a clean answer. Narcissist or not. Love or not. Toxic or just hard. Ambiguity is exhausting — and a label promises to end it.

Zyybra is named after that impulse. A zebra is black and white. Real relationships rarely are. We start with the question you actually searched for, then give you something more useful than a yes or no: a clear picture of the pattern.

Pattern, trait, diagnosis

We keep three things apart, because blurring them is where most online quizzes go wrong.

• A pattern is what you can observe in a relationship: what happens, how often, and what follows.
• A trait is a tendency a person carries across many situations and relationships.
• A diagnosis is a clinical judgment made by a qualified professional who has assessed the person directly.

Our tests measure patterns. They never diagnose you or anyone you know.

How we write questions

Every question is about observable behavior. We don’t ask you to guess what someone secretly believes; we ask what they do. “Does your partner often expect special treatment that they would not offer to others?” rather than “Does your partner think they’re superior to everyone?”

Questions are grouped into dimensions — accountability, boundary respect, pace, repair and so on — so your result shows which parts of a pattern are present, not just a single number.

What our tests are — and aren’t

Zyybra tests are structured reflective assessments. They’re informed by relationship and attachment research, but they are not validated clinical instruments, and we don’t claim otherwise. Where validated scales exist, they’re designed for clinicians and researchers; our tests are designed to help you think clearly about your own situation.
